Analyst, Associate, Senior Associate will play a key role in the identification, evaluation, recommendation, and management of investment opportunities in Japan.
The roles involves working across multiple global strategies (infrastructure, private equity and renewables) to deploy capital into the Japanese market.
Working closely with the senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the end-to-end execution of transactions, including conducting financial due diligence and analysis, formulating the business plan and preparing supporting bid documentation. In addition, the Associate will be heavily involved in assisting with the origination of new investment targets and ideas.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in executing M&A transactions and a robust business sense and investment judgement. Sector experience across any of the following would be preferable: private equity, infrastructure, renewables and/or data infrastructure/telecoms.

・Bi-lingual Japanese and English
・3 + years of total professional experience across buy-side investments, investment banking, in-house M&A/corporate development, management consulting, Japanese domestic trading house, Big4 corporate finance, corporate law.
・Exposure to the infrastructure (especially core plus, data or utilities) or private equity sectors would represent a significant advantage however is not required;
・A proven track record of working through the end-to-end execution of a transaction;
・Superior financial modelling and due diligence capabilities;
・Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders;
・Organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in situations with changing priorities and multiple simultaneous assignments;
・Ability to work with deal team members that are located across geographies.
・Excellent verbal and written communication; experience presenting analyses to senior leaders and ability to lead and drive initiatives.
・Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
・Self-motived with respect to both managing workload and own professional development
・A professional, positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture
・Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
・Team-oriented and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop collaborative relationships at all levels in the organization
