The Senior Manager, Human Resources and General Affairs will be critical in supporting organizational growth by working with CEO and COO in delivering excellent HR/GA services to employees and their managers. The role ensures people management practices support the innovative, ethical, and intellectually robust business culture and that all employees are developed and managed to reach their potential to contribute to the company’s success. The Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting CEO/COO in planning, executing, and implementing human resources strategy, as well as compliance/IT structure to support business plan while ensuring the Division works within the overall corporate framework and policy structure. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with CEO/COO to ensure alignment between strategic goals to corporate-wide programs and initiatives.

As HR/GA expert, support CEO/COO by advising on related matters to contribute to strengthening the foundation of the organization.
Become the trusted support to CEO/COO and other senior managers.
Create annual budget for HR & GA related activities, including but not limited to staffing/outsourcing, office management, IT systems/equipment.
Establish annual recruiting program that recognizes the high standards for talent. This recruiting program must address the competitive industry in which the company operates and reflect recruiting practices.
Develop trust and credibility of all employees, particularly the business managers, by playing the role of confidant and problem solver on some of the company’s most sensitive and important issues.
Ensuring that the company makes decisions consistent with shareholders’ core values and remains a fun and rewarding place to work.
Keep up to date on Employment Law, Pay and Benefit developments and competitor activity that impact on the company’s activities, disseminating information as appropriate and introducing initiatives as required to maintain our market position as an employer of preference in the sector.
必要経験
QUALIFICATION

Significant experience in HR Operations and HR Business Partnering to a small business unit or a demonstrated history of increasing responsibility and successful experience in a similarly situated capacity for a public company
Experience in managing human resources for a geographically dispersed business
Strong experience participating in annual compensation and benefits benchmarking exercise
Must possess the ability to quickly understand business strategies and how human resources and organizational development initiatives can support the achievement of those strategies
Must have the ability to use basic Microsoft Office products and corporate HRIS systems.  


COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Possesses superior written/oral communications skills both in English and in Japanese, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner.
Demonstrates an ability to ‘partner’ with managers and internal constituencies to assist in the development of their respective organizations  


LEGAL KNOWLEDGE

Knowledgeable regarding all relevant local employment laws and can support CEO/COO in providing counsel on employment-related disputes.

Works well within all levels of the organization.
An outstanding mind, combining analytical reasoning, creativity, conceptual ability and judgment. Someone who deals effectively with tactical issues, as well as the detailed operational activity involved in developing progressive human resources programs.

Willing and able to flex seamlessly between operating at a business partner and “rolling his/her sleeves up” to ensure operational HR day-to-day activities are executed seamlessly.
A well-developed sense of humor helps to bring perspective and energy to the team.
